Jeff Maier, P.E. is an Associate Vice President at Dewberry and serves as the West Region Infrastructure Practice Leader. He is based out of the Denver, CO office, but works remotely from Park City, UT and serves offices nationwide. In this role, he is responsible for business development, client services,
assisting with project pursuits, and provides in-depth technical expertise for a variety of trenchless pipeline and manhole rehabilitation technologies, utility pipeline construction applications, advanced pipeline condition assessment methods, infrastructure inspection, and asset management strategies.
Prior to joining Dewberry, Jeff was the National Infrastructure Practice Leader at Garver for over 5 years and was part of Garver’s Water Technology Team, focusing on pipeline infrastructure and trenchless rehabilitation applications. Before that, Jeff served as the Director of Engineering at C&L Water Solutions, a trenchless contracting firm located in Littleton, CO and Ogden, UT. At C&L, he was responsible for providing in-house engineering assistance, design services and technical expertise for potable water and wastewater infrastructure condition assessment, trenchless rehabilitation and new construction applications including design-build projects.
Prior to joining C&L Water Solutions, Jeff worked for over 10 years as an engineer with the Metro Wastewater Reclamation District (MWRD) in Denver, CO and was the owner/ principal of Colorado Trenchless Consulting LLC, a niche engineering firm that specialized in water/ wastewater infrastructure
condition assessment, inspection, and trenchless corrosion rehabilitation solutions. He is a Colorado, Utah and Texas registered professional engineer and a graduate of the University of Michigan – College of Civil & Environmental Engineering with approximately 25 years of project management and engineering
design experience, primarily in the water, wastewater and energy sectors.
He is recognized as an industry expert in the fields of advanced condition assessment and trenchless rehabilitation of pipelines, manholes, and water and wastewater facility structures. As a municipal engineer, Mr. Maier developed and successfully managed the wastewater pipeline and manhole condition
assessment and rehabilitation programs for MWRD in Denver. Jeff was also involved with the testing of various manhole and pipeline rehabilitation products/techniques in highly corrosive “real-life” wastewater environments, and conducted evaluations of various advanced pipeline condition assessment
technologies.
He is actively involved with the North American Society for Trenchless Technology (NASTT) and serves as a trenchless good practices course instructor. He is a member of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) M28 Committee on Rehabilitation of Water Mains, and is an active member of WEF
and ASCE/UESI. He was the conference chairman for the 2016 NASTT No-Dig Show in Dallas, TX and was the inaugural recipient of NASTT’s Volunteer of the Year award in 2020. Jeff is an AMPP Senior Certified Coating Inspector (formerly NACE CIP Level 3), is NASSCO PACP/MACP/LACP certified, and
is a certified NASSCO cured-in-place-pipe rehabilitation inspector. Additionally, he serves as the chairman of the ASTM subcommittee for trenchless plastic pipeline technology (ASTM F17.67).
