How Nominations Are Evaluated
Hall of Fame selection is a deliberative process. No single factor determines the outcome — the Selection Committee and NASTT Board consider the full body of a nominee’s contributions, impact, and legacy before reaching a decision.
When evaluating nominations, the Selection Committee considers:
- Career overview and industry tenure
- Contributions to NASTT
- Leadership, integrity and reputation
- Industry impact and advancement of practice
- Mentorship and legacy
- The nominee’s overall lasting impact and alignment with the Hall of Fame’s intent
What Happens After You Submit
- If a nomination does not meet eligibility requirements, the nominator will be notified and given the general reason (for example, membership tenure, prior induction, or an incomplete submission).
- Nominators will be notified once their nomination has cleared eligibility review and advanced to Selection Committee consideration.
- Selected inductees are publicly announced through standard NASTT communication channels.
- All nominators receive a thank-you communication following the public announcement of that year’s inductee(s), regardless of outcome.
- Nomination materials and Selection Committee deliberations are treated as confidential throughout the process.
- Nominees who are unaware they were nominated will not be contacted unless selected for induction.
Induction and Recognition
Inductees are honored at the NASTT No-Dig Show (or equivalent event) following their selection. Each inductee, or a designee accepting on their behalf, receives a Hall of Fame medallion. Inductees also receive one complimentary full registration to the No-Dig Show at which they are inducted, and four (4) complimentary tickets to the awards presentation.
About These Guidelines
These guidelines are reviewed at least every five years by the Selection Committee, and any changes are subject to approval by the NASTT Board of Directors.
