George Bontus, P.Eng. is Director of Engineering with Insituform Technologies Limited. He is responsible for design and reviews for Insituform’s CIPP liners in gravity and pressure pipe applications across Canada. George has delivered trenchless courses and technology papers for over 20 years.
He is currently Chair of NASTT NW Chapter. He was involved in updating the CIPP Good Practices course in 2024 and is an approved Instructor for the Course.
George is active in AWWA as a member or chair on several committees including Manual M28 Watermain Rehabilitation, Chair of Sliplining Standard, and C623 CIPP Standard Design Appendix.
He is a member of NASSCO’s Pressure pie, Pipe Rehabilitation and Woven Hose Committees.
