Mears Group, Inc. started as a local engineering firm in Rosebush, Michigan. It soon grew to become an international engineering and construction company with over 500 employees providing Horizontal Directional Drilling/Direct Pipe® services to the oil/gas, electrical, water/wastewater and fiber industries.  We specialize in marine crossings (water-to-water and shore approaches), along with other types of complex crossings.

With offices all over the world, Mears has developed and built a training and test facility at their Rosebush, Michigan campus to further develop and support their employees.  The facility serves as the cornerstone for the training and Operator Qualification (OQ) programs for Mears’ employees.

As part of Quanta Services, Inc. network of companies, training is enforced through further development of the Lazy Q training facility in LaGrange, Texas.  This is a 2,200-acre campus, where employees receive hands-on instruction from master trainers in a controlled environment, focusing on safety, skill development and certifications.

New McLaughlin Hire Brings Extensive Equipment Knowledge, Sales Experience

Company hires Cory Lee as regional sales manager

Lee brings over 15 years of sales knowledge and 5 years of management experience to his new role, including a management position at Vermeer.
